ARTIST-RUN EDUCATION | ARTIST-RUN PODCAST
SOMA is internationally recognized for our achievements in artist-run education, conducted as 3 core programs:

Programa Educativo SOMA (PES) + SOMA Summer + Miércoles de SOMA

Recognizing the importance of archives and discourses produced in contexts beyond the mainstream art world, SOMApod will transmit the knowledge and questions generated in our programs by sharing past documented conversations and new ideas as they evolve over the podcast. SOMApod brings together a diverse group of voices to discuss their work, passions, and issues as they relate to contemporary art. This project will also create a digital archive of nearly 300 live events, making this important resource available to you in English and Spanish.

FUND SOMApod
Support SOMApod and you will help us:

  • Create the first season of our Podcast! That's 12 episodes with guests such as Minerva Cuevas, Coco Fusco and Chip Lord.
  • Fund a Producer Fellowship to explore different ideas creatively and technically, so we can make the best podcast possible.
  • Design web and mobile platforms that are easy to navigate and thoughtfully interactive.
  • Maintain our independent status, apart from mainstream institutional support, commercial advertising, or subscription fees.

Flex Goal | $10,000 more will

  • Fund the Producer Fellowship for a second year!
  • Enjoy even better production values, offsetting fees for: the SOMApod host, visiting lecturers, research and critical writing, travel, videography, audio recording, editing, post-production, translation, and subtitling in English and Spanish.

UBS PLANET ART | PICK SOMA
